Tahakom, a PIF-backed firm, and Dubai Police have signed an agreement to cooperate to provide qualitative solutions to improve road crossing and traffic violations
The Saudi Technology and Security Comprehensive Control Co. (Tahakom) and the UAE’s Dubai Police will cooperate on artificial intelligence systems, traffic management, and monitoring violations, a statement from Saudi state news outlet SPA said.
The UAE and Saudi Arabia have adopted futuristic smart technologies with the aim to increase efficiency across governance areas, from traffic to citizen services. The new collaboration is the latest development as the countries increase their reliance on technology.
Tahakom, a Public Investment Fund (PIF) backed firm, and Dubai Police have signed an agreement to cooperate to provide qualitative solutions to improve road crossing and traffic violations, such as not fastening seat belts and using mobile phones whilst driving, within several basic criteria and indicators adopted by smart cities.
Cooperation between the two sides is expected to increase the economic value provided by adopting optimal driving behaviour and an advanced traffic services approach, in addition to benefiting from artificial intelligence in enhancing detection accuracy and providing biometric solutions and automatic vehicle identification.
